Tim Cooper

I am a teacher and tech coordinator at the York School, a k-12 independent school. I teach IB Design (combo of shop and tech) where my students and I play with electronics (Raspberry Pi, Lego Mindstorms and Little Bits), power tools, duct tape, glue guns, wood, lego, 3D printers and other assorted stuff to make cool ideas in our class. I was a programmer in the 1990’s, volunteered a bit with kids and took it up full time for the new millennium. I taught in several independent schools in New York City and ran robotics, programming and maker programs for many public and private school teachers and students. In 2013, I moved up to Toronto to do the same thing.
