Golam A Khan is a former student leader at the University of Toronto and the founder of FabriKite Company, a Toronto based merchandising enterprise with a vision to strengthen the local makers sphere. His company has sponsored Startup Fashion Week 2015, FAT 2015 – Fashion Art Toronto and FuturEra 2015 – 2016 a multi-disciplinary art show which flirts with commerce and multimedia technologies.
He speaks 5 languages including French, Bengali and Hindi. In the last 3 years his company has evolved with the local manufacturing revival in Canada and established supplier relationships in Turkey, Bangladesh and China helping local companies with prototype development, market consultation, and fabrication in fashion and wearable technology. His company aims to bridge the gap between local makers and the global supply chain to allow Canadian companies to achieve sustainable, responsible, and cost effective market solutions.
