Trishala is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s class of 2016, where she majored in Economics and minored in Management and Communications. Beyond her academic background, she is a third culture millennial of Indian origin; her personal background and experiences make up a huge part of her identity and serve as the foundation for her burning passion for social change, community-building and entrepreneurship. She is a tri-sector leader who has worked across various industries; from curating a world-class TEDx conference (TEDxUW, which has previously been featured on Time.com, Forbes and HuffPost Canada), being a Fellow at the prestigious Venture for Canada program’s 2016 cohort (part of the Venture for All Network, hosted by the Columbia Business School) to working in Marketing and Management Consulting at multinational companies. Today, she is the Co-Founder of The Dialogue Xchange; a community-powered forum for engaged dialogue and inspired action on pressing social issues. The movement will soon turn into a virtual library of dialogue events happening across the globe with cutting-edge features, combining the best of digital technology and in-person engagement to spearhead social change. In her free time, she enjoys good conversations, laughs, good food, travel, photography and playing with her 2-year old golden labrador.
